Visiting the monument requires a separate entry ticket in addition to your general park admission. The caves are spread across a hillside, so expect steep steps and uneven rocky terrain.

This is the largest and most prominent prayer hall in the complex. It features towering pillars and detailed Buddhist carvings. Look closely at the 34-foot-tall standing Buddha statues flanking the entrance.
20 mins time neededAssembly hall
This massive assembly hall was used by Buddhist monks for learning, meditation, and group gatherings. Notice the long stone benches carved directly into the rock floor.
15 mins time neededBring a flashlight
This cave features intricate paintings of the Buddha on its ceiling. The ancient pigments are slowly fading from time and exposure. Carry a flashlight to see the artwork better in the dark interior.
45 mins time neededUphill trek
An uphill trek above the main cave complex leads to panoramic views of the national park canopy. The climb is steep over exposed rock. Go early in the morning to avoid the midday sun.
